RPP #40: Mobile Phones for e-Learning and Emergency Broadcasts

Topics covered during this 23 minute podcast were prompted by the recent tragedy at Virginia Tech:
  • SMS - Short Messaging System - This Wikipedia article explains the technology that allows the sending of "short" (160 characters or less) text messages
  • Twitter - A global community of friends and strangers answering one simple question: "What are you doing?"
